My home state of Victoria (Australia) is seeing possibly the worst bushfires in its history. Yesterday was our hottest day on record (it got over 46 degrees celcius) and as of 10 minutes ago, the death toll from the fires has reached 65 people. Entire towns have been decimated. One account was of a fire moving across a hill covering 1.5km’s in less than 5 minutes.
Update: 12 hours later and the death toll has risen to 108.
