You know what really grinds my gears?
There is a lot of talk about the new Charlie Kaufman film Synecdoche, New York (I am comfortable enough to say that I didn’t get it) and it seems like every article mentions every film he has written except one: Confessions of a Dangerous Mind.
This is one of my favourite films. It is funny, clever and generally very well made. Sam Rockwell (a very underated actor) is brilliant as Chuck Barris and the supporting cast, even Julia Roberts, are great. Am I missing something? I know his other films are fantastic, but Confessions gets no love.
Please explain.
